Hideharu Hoki, a swordsmith of Hoki Kuni Yatsuhashi, was born in Yatsuhashi Village on August 7, 1945, as the eldest son of Rinzo Fujimoto, whose real name is Kazuichiro Fujimoto. At the age of 17 in Tenpo 9 years, he served for 8 years at Nobuyoshi Sadashima, a field smith in Aseri-gun (currently Saihaku Town). I became a disciple of Hidenao Yamamoto, who was born in Dewa Province and was a student of Naoto Daikei. After 5 years of training as a sword, he received a letter from his master and named it “Hideharu”. On his way home, he trained for three to four years in Yamada Shinmachi, Kobe, Ise. It is said that there is a work called “Ise Kuni Yamadashinmachi Sumiichi Unsai Hideharu”, and in the 4th year of Ansei, he returned to his hometown of Yabashi Village and started swordsmithing. It is said that the swords made after the middle ages are cut as “Naoharu”, and it is said that “Hideharu” and “Naoharu” are the same swordsmith, and the eldest son cut it as “Naoya” and then renamed it “Naotsuna”.
The style is good for Bizen-den, the forging is tightly packed and plain, and the blade pattern is often a straight blade with a tight scent, and there are also clove blades with disordered eyes.
In addition, [Hideharu] says that he passed the finished sword between the rain stones, dropped a large stone from it, conducted a strength test, and if it broke or bent, he re-strike it and only cut the name to a satisfactory work. ..
In the 2nd year of Keio, Motonaga Tsuda, the lord of the Yatsuhashi castle (the chief retainer of the Ikeda clan), heard this and did not listen to it, even though he recommended that he be a builder. It is said that he made a masterpiece by devoting himself to making swords even in extreme poverty, and it seems that the sword that Hideharu trains did not break, did not bend, and cut well, and he used Inga steel from Hino as the raw material.
Hideharu died on March 1, 1902 at the age of 69, and his tomb is located at Myokakuzan Horinji Temple in Yatsuhashi. After the Haitō Edict, he made knives, farm tools, etc. with his parents under the name of Waichi, but they also had good sharpness, and it is said that the knives of Waichi Blacksmith had a high reputation.

This sword is beautifully packed with finely kneaded fine-grained skin, and the straight blade that looks monotonous at first glance has a bright and clear scent, many fine gold streaks can be seen on the blade edge, leaves and leaves in the blade, A sword that shows the taste of an expert, with the leaves appearing to be drawn in a row.
Although it is regrettable that the ward was sent and the central butt was cut, it was probably a sword that made me want to wear it on my waist even if I polished it. There are no notable flaws, and the current situation is that there are many scratches and the tip of the tip is missing, but the hat is widely and firmly burned, so it is a gem that I am very much looking forward to after re-polishing.

We are planning to polish the new silver face and for art ornamental use. We will hand over at the list price only during the period when the work has not started. The price will change significantly after the work, so please apply during the current period when the work has not started, which you can purchase at a low price.
