Real name, Makoto Takaba. Born February 18, 1938. In 1945, he was introduced to Kunitada Ikeda swordsmith, and in 1943, he was introduced to Kanehide Nakata swordsmith. The swordsmith’s inscription “Hidetada” was given by “Tada” by Kunitada Ikeda and “Hidetada” by Kanehide Nakata. In 1969, he received sword approval and exhibited at the 1st New Masterpiece Exhibition and was selected consecutively. In 1976, he received the Encouragement Award by copying the cutting blade structure designated as an important cultural property by Mr. Saburo Shizu’s masterpiece. In 1969, he received training at Akihira Miyairi Training Center with the help of Professor Kanyama Sato, and in 1970, he opened the Takaba Training Center in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture.
Many of the styles are privately owned by Mr. Saburo Shizu, a master craftsman born in Mino Province, and there is also a style by Kiyomaro Yamaura.

This sword is a work aimed at Toru, from the fact that the straight-edged main tone of the sword is burned on the heathered skin, and the sword is burned one by one with the side hand. A sword recommended for Iai martial arts swords with long blades and taller ones.
In the current polishing state, Yokote is about 3 mm lower than the original position.
