Kunihide was a prestigious swordsmith from the old sword era, and first learned from Satsuma’s Hoki Mori Masayuki, and later went to Edo to learn sword making from Mizushinko Masahide. Some of the existing works are from Kansei to Bunsei, and in later years, some of them were cut off as Kunihide, and although their style is good at Bizen-den’s clove disorder, it is a direct production of Kobo. The blade also shows extraordinary talent.
This sword was registered in March 1951, which is one of the earliest registered swords of the Daimyo sword, and the sword of the army sword attached to it has a high prestige and has a plasterer sword. It is known that it is a sword.
The finely trained grained skin is beautiful, as if you see the clear sand crests on the lakeside, the bright and clear boiling-oriented sword gradually changes the blade width to become a bay, and the blade is extremely large and strong. It is entwined with the edges, unraveling and showing double blades, showing a triumphant finish.
It is presumed that it was sent to the ward when it was used as the blade of a Guntō, and in the present age when the naive appearance is regarded as important and it affects the art value, this ward sending is regrettable, but it is worth the life. Because it was a single sword, it was carried as a military sword even after being sent to the ward, so it can be said that it is a proof of the trust of the former owner in this Kunihide sword.
