Nagamitsu Ichihara, a master craftsman in the early Showa period, who was listed in the “Designated Swordsmith’s Division” at the 1945 Army Sword Technology Encouragement Exhibition. The issue was called Ichiryuko.
Shigetaro Emura, who was the director of Okayama Prison during the war, invited Nagamitsu Ichihara to take the initiative in the prison, hoping for the rehabilitation of a model prisoner, and used many Japanese swords in the prison. I trained.
For this reason, the work of Nagamitsu Ichihara was commonly referred to as “Prison Nagamitsu”, but the work trained at Okayama Prison was labeled “Emura”, so it was a work of Nagamitsu’s individual name. It can be said that it is a mistake to refer to and call it “Prison Nagamitsu”.
Due to the world of wartime, there are few works that have been decently polished, so it is easy to be tied up as one of the main training swords, but when you look at it with careful polishing, everyone is highly skilled. A surprisingly famous Showa sword, it has a high reputation as a sword from that time, and was also active as an army swordsmith.
This sword is a work in which ground iron with a well-kneaded small plate texture flows, enters the ground, and burns each other’s eyes in a Kowan tone, the scent is bright, and fine sand streams and gold streaks are inside the blade. , Lightning can be seen.
