His real name is Yoshizo, and he was born in Makita Village, Gifu Prefecture (from Kamiishizu Town to present-day Ogaki City) as the eldest son in 1897, and will succeed the second blacksmith of the Otani family. Later, he became a swordsmith and became a master of Akihide Kurihara (Hikosaburo), and he emerged as a swordsmith due to his study.
The initial inscription was “Mino Yoro Sumi Kogure Hakuji Saku” and “Mino Yoro Sumi Kotani Hakugi Saku”, and later “Makida Sumi Kotani Hakugi Saku”, which was taught by the calligrapher Hyakuren Ohno. I cut it with a cursive script that I think I received.
He died in April 1950 at the age of 57, and his disciple Yoshinao Takagi abandoned his sword at the end of the war.

It is said that Hikosa poured his heart and soul into swords at the request of the military, and he is active as a teacher at the Japanese sword academy under the supervision of Kurihara Hikosaburo. Since exhibiting at the 2nd Japanese Sword Exhibition at the Ueno Tokyo Prefectural Museum of Art, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Education, he has been exhibiting until the year before the end of the war and has won numerous awards. In the new Japanese sword exhibition in 1945, he was honored as the first seat, and celebrities such as Marquis Nobutsune Osumi, Sadao Araki, Admiral Takeshita, Lieutenant General Watanabe, Hosaburo Fukushima, and Hikosaburo Kurihara. At the 8th New Japanese Sword Exhibition sponsored by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by Has earned a reputation. In May of the same year, Lieutenant General Watanabe Hisashi and Hikosaburo Kurihara visited the Japanese sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword sword. It is also selected as a swordsmith (88 swordsmiths struck 88 swords with a blade length of 8 inches and 8 minutes each). Although it is said to be a master, there are few works, and this sword is a valuable swing to know the sword, and even from the blade length of almost 2 shaku and 3 inch, it is not a military sword but a special note. It can be seen that it is a sword that has been trained according to the situation.

Although it is an old sharpening, there is no noticeable rust, so you can keep it as it is, but I would like you to polish it for art appreciation only for a few works of the meaning, considering various work costs such as polishing fee. We will introduce you at an affordable price.
