He has served as a sacred treasure of straight swords, and most recently has one of the best sword-making techniques of modern Japanese sword masters, such as the restoration and training of large straight swords excavated from the Miyajitake Kofun in Fukuoka.

With a strong desire to reproduce old swords from the Heian and Kamakura eras, he has been engaged in research and training for many years, and has a wealth of knowledge and insights on national treasures, important cultural assets and similar swords, and swords and iron culture nationwide. , Wakizashi, Naginata, Ancient straight sword, etc., to create an accurate and beautiful sword figure. Boasting a wide range of production abilities with vivid ground iron and sword blades, he is also the best modern swordsmith in the central tailoring such as central swordsmiths and inscriptions. After his teacher Yukihira died, Miyairi Kozaemon Yukihira (Miyairi Megumi) ), And the fact that he trained as a disciple of swordsmiths also shows that his teacher has a great deal of confidence and his skill is high.

Shohei Kudo, who is famous as a leading figure in reproducing old swords and also for training swords that cut iron. We have teamed up with Isao Machii, the owner of our shop, and are still working to make a true sword that is both practical and beautiful.

Kanbun in the early Edo period, when the appearance of shallow warpage was popular. Around this time, “Katana Dameshi”, which uses the corpse of a sinner to test the sword’s sharpness, was performed by leading swords of the time, such as Kaemon Yamano and Asaemon Yamada. Nagasone Kotetsu, who became popularly known as Toru’s stick warp, was also a swordsmith of this era, and the Kanbun new sword body was created by many people (trial), and is most suitable for both cutting and cutting. It can be said that it is a completed form.
Currently, people who like Iai want Japanese swords to warp like Japanese swords, and most people prefer six-quarter warp, but I affirm that the sword that is truly suitable for Iai and tameshigiri is the Kanbun new sword. You can do it.

This sword has a shallow warp, the difference between the tip and the tip is wide, and the sharply built-in sword with an extended tip is finely kneaded with a small grained skin. It is a work made by baking old-fashioned mutual nome cloves unique to Shohei. It’s done.

The attached sword is a new one at our shop, and the shark scabbard is wrapped around with a single piece of shark skin and polished, and a pattern is made using stylish modern metal fittings. As a matter of course, it is luxuriously tied to the shark belly (single roll), the handle roll is rolled up with a twist with black cow leather, a serious silver face made by hand is attached, and the length of the blade itself is prioritized. Since the swallowing of habaki is deeply made, it feels as long as 2 shaku and 2 inch, and it is a modern master sword that is suitable for one-handed punching. Polishing is for art ornamental use.

Please fully enjoy the freshness that has just been sharpened and the high level of skill that can only be seen as an old sword even though it is a modern sword.
