Many swordsmiths called “Five Blacksmiths” were active, including the Furukawa family of Kiyoemon Furukawa, the son of Ashina Moriuji, who served Mr. Ashina Moriuji in the latter half of the Muromachi period. The Furukawa family (Kanesada), Shimosaka family (Tamayasu), Miyoshi family (Nagao), Nakajo family (Michitatsu), Suzuki family (Kanetomo), and the late Edo period are among the “five blacksmiths” that were established by the Genroku period. The relatively young “Rokuke” includes the Shimosaka Betsu family, Kaku family (Genroku), Minagawa family (Muneju), Murata family (Kunimune), Wakabayashi family (Shigefusa), and Nagao family (Masayasu). )there is.
The Nakajo family, one of the five blacksmiths, is said to have become independent during the Genroku era, with the first Chotoshi following Aizu as a disciple of Sanzen Chokoku, and the third Dotatsu learning swords from the first: Sanzen Chodo. Dotatsu was a person from the Hoei era, and has prospered for six generations since then, and is a master craftsman who represents Aizu Shinsword along with Aizu and Sadakei.

Although this sword has not been categorized, it is a masterpiece of Aizu’s famous Dotatsu, and has no notable disciplines and has been skillfully trained. The straight blade, which is preferred by experts, looks like a monotonous sword at first glance, but when you look at it in detail, it shows various functions, and every time you look at it, you will enjoy new discoveries. That’s how it works. A gentle figure with a wide difference in the origin. It can be seen that the heather-forged ground iron is a typical Mino-type work, with the appearance of swords on the blade edge and the hoji. The scent is bright and clear, and the elegant Sanbonsugi is baked, and the hat is immediately put on first and turns round. It is a work that does not make you feel bored when you look at it, because the sunagare in the blade is noticeable and varied.
The attached sword is made of two pieces of iron-polished snake’s crest (rim head and menuki), and the sword sword of the Suzumushi figure is hung on the autumn grass, making it feel rugged but elegant.
What surprises me is how light it is. The scabbard weighs 1,066 grams, but it feels light, and even from the sword fittings made of iron metal fittings, it is a gem that the original owner’s obsession with Takeshi is felt. By all means, it is a sword that I would like you to undergo the preservation examination.

Nude weight 724 grams. Weight 1,066 grams that was put in the sword and the sheath was removed.
