Among the Bizen swords of the late Muromachi period, which are called Sue Bizen swords, there are many swords made by Yusada, among which Lieutenant Yosanzaemon, Lieutenant Genbei, and Lieutenant Hikobei are famous. During the Warring States period, when demand for swords was high, Bizen swords were trained for many battles, and the bad habit of demeaning the swords, which are not known as such practical swords, became the sword world. However, there are many works that are not crudely tampered with, and even among the works that do not have a common name, there are many works that are surprisingly good, and some of them are excellent works that can even be named individually. Can be done.
This sword has been greatly polished and is now unnamed, but judging from the result of the ground blade, it seems that it was originally inscribed.
The heathered skin is well kneaded and textured, the edge of the blade is sharp and the image is disturbed, and the clove blades are mixed with the open-waisted reciprocal disorder that can be said to be typical of the end It is a gem that shows a lively finish, such as being burned high, getting into the legs and leaves frequently, and being exposed to sand currents, and you can enjoy the elegant ground blade unique to Suebizen in a sharp figure with a slightly extended tip.
At the time of purchase at our shop, it was wrapped in thin rust, but it has been polished for art appreciation, and it is finished with an old-fashioned insertion sharpening to bring out the mutual eyes and cloves in front of Bizen.
The attached 98-type Guntō sword has a slight dent in the scabbard, but it is well preserved and has value as a military uniform. Looking at the serial number of the metal fittings, only the tsuba has a different engraving from 213, but there is no rattling in the tsuba, and the slightly tilted center hole made in the face and the center hole of the tsuba match the angle and size. From the point of view of what we are doing, it seems that there is no doubt that it is the original at the time of production, not the restoration of posterity.
Please take this opportunity to add it to your collection as it is a refreshing Bizen that has just been sharpened.
