The life span that is said to have been derived from the Yamato blacksmith who moved to Mino. It is famous as a school that prospered for a long time until the end of the Edo period. In the sword world, it is called “Jumyo”, but it seems that it is correct to read “Toshinaga”, and I remember that some of the existing works were called “Lifetime Toshinagatoyomubeshi”. Doing. The samurai who found auspiciousness in the name of lifespan favored the lifespan sword as a finger for celebrations and as a gift among samurai families. * It is said that long items were especially preferred for gifts, and that they were responsible for the “long life” and testing.

This sword is an old-fashioned sword with a deep warp and tension, without any notable flaws, and the heathered skin is well kneaded and clogged, and the regularly arranged left and right inverted eyes are baked.
The hand-held balance is very good, and the feeling of holding it makes you feel as if you were holding a wakizashi.

The attached sword fittings were handmade under the supervision of Isao Machii. The parent shark is made into a composite garment (single roll), finished with a twisted roll with brown leather, and the stone grain of the scabbard is not an inexpensive spray-sprayed one seen in a simulated sword, but a gem carefully finished with dry lacquer. It has a strong finish even in dents.
What is interesting is the clogs for extending the habaki, which were made from the intention of using the blade length as long as possible. It makes you feel the wisdom of old Japanese people.

Nude weight 661 grams. Weight of 973 grams that was put in the sword and the sheath was removed.
