Hoshi Ryokan

Established in 718, Hoshi Ryokan is a traditional Japanese inn and is recognized by Guinness as the oldest hotel in the world.

It has been operating under the same family for generations. Its rooms are based on traditional Japanese design with complete tatami mat flooring and futon bedding.

Its rooms cost between 10,000 to 50,000 JPY per night, providing guests the view of scenery right outside the window. All rooms are equipped with bathrooms and baths.

Guests are invited to pamper themselves with massage services or feel the steam in the sauna. Those who stay at the inn can also view landscaped gardens and the gallery that features works of pottery.

After relaxation, guests can anticipate breakfast and kaiseki dinner in the dining.


The ryokan is near Osshobe Park and Nata Temple, which can be visited by the guests during their stay.
Hoshi Ryokan is accessible by rides coming from airports of Komatsu and Toyama. A free shuttle is also available.
