Hotel Hatsuhana

Hotel Hatsuhana is a ryokan located in Hakone Onsen in Kanagawa. The accommodation has gained popularity with female guests because of its aesthetic natural environment and authentic tea ceremony dishes. It is also known for being accessible for guests with disabilities.

The hotel features traditional Japanese-style interiors with rooms fitted with tatami mats and futon beds, as well as modern elements in the decors. Each of the 47 rooms are provided with a flat screen television, a refrigerator, and an electric kettle.

Guests are also given yukata robes for them to use for the duration of their stay. Some rooms come with a private hot-spring bath. One night’s stay can range from 25,000 to 100,000 JPY.

Along with the en-suite hot-spring baths, there are gender-segregated hot-spring baths for the guests’ enjoyment. In addition to this, Hotel Hatsuhana comes with a women-only relaxation salon in the women’s spa, “Yamazakura”, that provides services ranging from facials to body massages.


For the men, there is “Yurari”, which provides their own relaxation experience on par with the women’s salon. Other facilities include a lounge, a shop and banquet halls. Hotel Hatsuhana has its own restaurant as well, “Tsuji no Chaya” that serves guests with Japanese Cuisine.


A short distance away, guests will be able to explore Kitahara Museum, and Hakone-en Aquarium, as well as Hakone Gora Park, the Hakone Open-Air Museum, the Venetian Glass Museum, Lake Ashinoko, Hakone Shrine, and Owakudani. Hotel Hatsuhana is accessible by taking the Odakyu Limited Express from Shinjuku Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station, a shuttle bus service from JR Hakone Yumoto Train Station is provided upon request.
