Hotel Kawakyu is a luxury bayfront hotel located in Shirahama Onsen in Wakayama Prefecture. It offers spacious suites and an indoor pool, along with hot-spring baths.

There are 88 suites at the hotel, each one designed with a living room and a separate bedroom. Western-style rooms will have a bed and carpeting while Japanese suites will have tatami mat flooring and floor cushions.

All suites are fitted with air-conditioning, an LCD television, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and a private bathroom with a bathtub. Open-air hot spring baths are also available depending on the suite. One night’s stay can range from 25,000 to 65,000 JPY.

The hotel offers a variety of high-quality hot spring baths in addition to the en-suite open-air baths. There are large communal hot-spring baths as well as ones that can be reserved for private use.

Additionally, a sauna and a massage is also available at the guests’ leisure. A buffet breakfast is also served in the dining room but guests can also opt to be served in their rooms.

Hotel Kawakyu is accessible by taking the JR Kansai Airport Line from Kansai International Airport to Hineno Station, then JR Limited Express to Shirahama Station. A pickup service is also available from Kansai Airport upon request.
