Hotel Sakurai

Hotel Sakurai is a modern accommodation located in Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture, just a short distance away from “Yubatake”, or hot water field.

The hotel-style ryokan has 179 rooms overlooking the mountainside, each one equipped with an air conditioner, a refrigerator, and a private bathroom with free toiletries. Some rooms will have a private hot spring bath. The building and the rooms are also accessible to people with disabilities.
Hotel Sakurai serves seasonal dishes with ingredients sourced locally in Gunma Prefecture, and seafood fresh from the sea. The restaurant offers Japanese, Chinese, and Western cuisines, as well as a multi-course kaiseki dinner. The dishes feature homemade “Asama brewing tofu”, local vegetables, Joshu Beef, and Rainbow Trout Ginhikari.
Hotel Sakurai can be accessed by taking the JR Limited Express from Ueno Station. A free pick-up service can be provided upon request from Kusatsu Onsen Bus terminal. The establishment is operating normally with safety measures in place and limited acceptance to prevent the spread of infection.
