Shiraume Kyoto

Shiraume Kyoto is a traditional ryokan located in Higarashiyama, Kyoto. Located along the banks of Shirakawa, the ryokan exudes a picturesque atmosphere that gives the illusion of stepping into another time. A place where Geiko and Maiko used to study, work, and live in, Shiraume Kyoto still radiates the beauty that its former residents carried.

The interior features styles from traditional tea ceremony houses in the classical period. The rooms, furnished with wooden textures and traditional furniture, overlook the stream and the cherry blossoms in the spring.

Some rooms have their own private hot spring baths with views of the natural beauty of the garden. One night’s stay ranges from 29,000-38,000 JPY.
Guests may also opt to use the baths that can be reserved for private use. In addition, Shiraume Kyoto also provides a bar and a small library for the guests to entertain themselves with.
Shiraume Kyoto can be accessed on a short walk from Gion Shijo Station, Sanjo Keihan Station, or Sanjo Station.

The inn is operating normally with safety measures in place and limited acceptance to prevent the spread of infection.
