Tsutsujitei is a Japanese-style accommodation that fuses traditional ryokan ambiance with resort-hotel elements. It is located in Kusatsu onsen, Gunma Prefecture.

The hotel boasts of a 17,000 square meter garden, and 10 luxurious guest rooms. It also has a special accommodation in the form of a separate villa on the property that comes with its en-suite open-air bath. One night’s stay can range from 60,000 to 85,000 JPY.

Japanese kaiseki dishes are served to the guests, delicately prepared by the chef with featured seasonal ingredients from Tsukiji, and unique to Tsutsujitei. A Japanese breakfast is also served to the guests either in the dining room or the guest room, depending on the chosen accommodation.
Guests are invited to relax in the large communal bath, “Urara no Yu” and the private bath “Tama no Yu”. The hot spring waters are known to be acidic and have been popular for generations for their therapeutic effects. Other facilities include a lounge area, a large garden, and a sitting area where guests may enjoy a drink.
Tsutsuji-tei can be accessed by JR Limited Express from Ueno Station in Tokyo. A shuttle bus service is also provided free of charge from Kusatsu Bus Terminal. The establishment is operating normally with safety measures in place and limited acceptance to prevent the spread of infection.
