Yes. Choose from the available kimono selection on arrival, and our staff will help you dress. After the ceremony, you may explore Nishiki and central Kyoto in kimono. Your rental ends at 6:00 PM on the same day, so please plan your return accordingly. Later sessions leave less time for sightseeing.

How long does it take, and when does the ceremony begin?

Allow approximately 90 minutes, including kimono dressing, the tea ceremony, matcha preparation, and photo time. The ceremony usually begins about 30 minutes after arrival, once everyone is dressed. Sightseeing afterwards is separate from this approximate 90-minute experience.

Is the tea ceremony conducted in English?

Yes. An English-speaking host guides you step by step, so beginners are welcome and Japanese language skills are not needed. Interpretation by guests or third-party interpreters is not permitted during the session. Is this a private or shared session?
