Hotel Ichii
Hotel Ichii is a modern ryokan with Japanese and Western-style rooms. It is located in the center of Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture. It has historically been known as one of the three most famous hot springs in the country.
There are 125 guest rooms, the Japanese style types are fitted with tatami mat flooring and come with air-conditioning, a television, a refrigerator, a tea set, and an air purifier. Basic amenities can also be found. One night’s stay can range from 15,000 to 50,000 JPY.Seasonal dishes are served in the rooms as well as in the restaurant. Alternatively, guests can also partake in a buffet-style dining that features Japanese and Western cuisine.
There are two kinds of communal baths, sourced from two different springs in Kusatsu Onsen. There is the communal indoor bath “Ishiden”, with water that is a little muddy with acidic water. The second one, “Ishiba” is an open-air bath surrounded by the garden where the water is still acidic yet clear.
Hotel Ichii is accessible by taking the JR Limited Express from Ueno Station, Tokyo. A free shuttle bus service is available for scheduling to and from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal. The establishment is operating normally with safety measures in place and limited acceptance to prevent the spread of infection.
