Kakui-no-yado Shiunso

Kakui-no-yado Shiunso is a luxury Japanese ryokan located right next to Hayakawa River in Hakone Onsen in Kanagawa Prefecture. It offers natural hot-spring baths that are “kakenagashi” meaning never recycled.

There are 22 guest rooms in the property, each one with tatami mat flooring, futon beds, and a private bathroom. Each room can range from 30,000 to 80,000 JPY.

Traditional multi-course meals, kaiseki, featuring Japanese specialties are offered and served in the guests’ rooms. Seasonal dishes are delicately prepared by the head chef, with fresh seafood ingredients that are handpicked fresh from Tsukiji Fish Market every day. Western cuisine is also prepared upon request.

The hotel has three communal hot spring baths, as well rentable private baths for reservation. A karaoke is also provided in the lounge.

Other facilities include a terrace overlooking the Hayakawa River, a souvenir shop, and a banquet hall. A private aroma-therapy treatment session is also offered for the guests, as well as soba making classes.

Guests can also enjoy nearby tourist attractions such as Lake Ashinoko, Hakone Shrine, and Owakudani. Kakui-no-yado Shiunso is accessible by a short drive from JR Odawara Train Station and Hakone-Yumoto Train Station.

The inn is operating normally with safety measures in place and limited acceptance to prevent the spread of infection.
