Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden:
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is located in the central area of Tokyo city. It was built in 1906 as an Imperial Garden, and it was redesigned as a national garden after the second world war. It is 144 acres in size and is split into 3 sections. The 3 styles are Landscape, Formal, and Traditional Japanese.

This Garden was built on the site of a once private mansion, that belonged to Lord Naito who was a daimyo during the Edo period. It is open from 9am to 4:30pm from Tuesday to Sunday, and is closed on Mondays. Although times are subject to change due to special events. To get to Shinjuku Kyoen National Garden from Tokyo station it will take you 20 minutes by subway.
