The Higo Dotanuki school is famous as a school representing Kyushu during the Muromachi period, and many of Masakuni, Kozuke, Matahachi, Saemon, etc. were discharged into the family.
This school is known for its wide-ranging, thick, flat-fleshed and magnificent swords, but on the other hand, there are many examples of large spears and large naginata swords in addition to swords made of ho.
Even now, this sword has been greatly polished and boasts a blade length of nearly 2 shaku and 5 inches and a wide width, and the sharply extended tip makes you feel the ruggedness and strength of Dotanuki. The front side of the blade is straight-edged with some bays, and the sideways minions are baked and burned, and the back side is straight-edged with bays. You can see the gold streaks and show various scenery.
Since it fits in the sheath of a ready-made product, it is possible to manufacture the sword at a low cost.
