Tokyo Combo Ticket at Asakusa: start with a guided tour, shuriken throwing, and soft samurai armor photo time at the Samurai Ninja Museum Asakusa, then wear a beautiful kimono for an authentic matcha tea ceremony at Maikoya — two Tokyo cultural experiences in one easy reservation.
Enjoy two of Tokyo's most popular cultural experiences with one easy reservation. First, visit the Samurai Ninja Museum Asakusa for a guided museum tour, a fun shuriken (ninja star) throwing experience, and photo time in soft samurai armor. Then take a short 5-minute walk to KIMONO TEA CEREMONY MAIKOYA ASAKUSA, where you will wear a beautiful kimono and join an authentic matcha tea ceremony.
This combo is a great choice for couples, families, and honeymooners who are interested in the culture and history of Japan, and both venues sit right by the famous Senso-ji Temple area in Asakusa.

The Samurai Ninja Museum Tokyo With Experience has been honored with TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice Award in both 2025 and 2026, placing it among the top 10% of experiences worldwide based on traveler reviews.
In 2025, both the Samurai Ninja Museum Asakusa and Kimono Tea Ceremony MAIKOYA Asakusa received the award — so this combo brings together two award-winning experiences in one booking.
This combo ticket does not include the Samurai Sword Experience or the Ninja Experience. These are separate programs with their own costumes and training activities. If those are what you are looking for, please book from the links below:
SAMURAI NINJA MUSEUM ASAKUSA TOKYO With Experience Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan — right by Senso-ji Temple and the historic streets of Asakusa
Your day starts at the museum. After your museum tour, our staff will give you directions to KIMONO TEA CEREMONY MAIKOYA ASAKUSA — just a 5-minute walk away.
Check in at the Samurai Ninja Museum Asakusa. Join the English guided tour of the samurai and ninja exhibits, test your aim in the shuriken throwing experience, and take souvenir photos in soft samurai armor. Approx. 60 minutes.
After your museum tour, our staff will guide you to KIMONO TEA CEREMONY MAIKOYA ASAKUSA. Please note that the museum and MAIKOYA are in separate locations and require a short walk. See the route map below.
Choose your kimono at MAIKOYA ASAKUSA and enjoy the tea ceremony with Japanese sweets. Approx. 90 minutes including kimono dressing and photo time — then stroll Asakusa in your kimono until 6:00 PM.
KIMONO TEA CEREMONY MAIKOYA ASAKUSA is only about a 5-minute walk from the museum. Use the route map below so you can move between the two venues smoothly — our staff will also point you in the right direction after your museum tour.
Enjoy an interactive tour where you will learn trivia and fascinating facts about Japanese history and culture. Walk through the samurai and ninja exhibits while our knowledgeable guide tells you the stories behind the displays — from technical details to the lives these items once touched.
Feel free to ask questions along the way. The tours are available in English.
Get a glimpse of what it was like to be one of the most prestigious ruling classes of old Japan, and learn how ninjas carried out their covert missions with their unique weapons and tools.
The exhibits and stories are fun and easy to follow for both adults and children.
Learn how to throw shuriken — the famous ninja stars. After some practice, test your targeting skills and enjoy a friendly competition with your family and friends. This hands-on activity is a favorite among kids and adults alike.
For everyone's safety, please follow the instructor's cues during the activity. Our staff will kindly guide you and your children through each step.
Our award-winning tea ceremonies are not only enjoyable but also a comprehensive educational experience. Your English-speaking host will demonstrate the process while explaining the meaning behind each step and tool, along with the history and etiquette of the tea ceremony.
You will not only watch how matcha green tea is made — you will whisk your own bowl of matcha, guided by the tea master, using premium, high-quality matcha powder.
MAIKOYA is the only facility in Tokyo where you can experience authentic kimonos and tea ceremonies in the same place. Choose from a beautiful selection of kimonos, and our friendly staff will help you dress comfortably and look your best.
Wearing a kimono adds a special sense of occasion to the tea ceremony and makes your Tokyo photos even more memorable.

The tea ceremony venue is located right by the famous Senso-ji Temple, in the heart of Asakusa's historic streets — one of the most photogenic areas in all of Tokyo.
Because the tea ceremony is the final stop of this combo, you can keep your kimono on afterwards and enjoy a leisurely stroll through Asakusa — Senso-ji Temple, Nakamise shopping street, and the surrounding old town make wonderful backdrops for photos. Please remember to return the kimono by 6:00 PM.
Your matcha is served with traditional Japanese sweets called wagashi — a simple accompaniment designed to balance the flavor of matcha.
The Samurai Sword Experience and the Ninja Experience are separate programs with costume dressing and training activities, and they are not included in this combo ticket. If that is the experience you are looking for, please book one of these programs instead:
