If this experience is sold out, you can try the Ninja Experience or our combo ticket for a Kimono Tea Ceremony and Samurai Sword Experience in Tokyo (both Family & Kid Friendly) for something equally fun.
Lasts approximately 75 minutes
All of these activities are included in this package without additional fees.
For the Samurai Experience, you'll be dressed in authentic samurai attire, including the Hakama (traditional samurai pants) and a Kimono-style top. Once you're suited up in your samurai gear, the lesson will begin, guiding you through the history and techniques of the samurai. Be sure to capture this moment with photos—you’ll want to remember what it felt like to be a samurai for the day!
Your experience begins with a focus on the fundamentals: we'll start by checking your grip and posture to make sure you're ready and safe. From there, you'll practice a series of movements and poses that are key to samurai sword techniques. Some parts of the lesson will involve repetition, which helps build strength and improve your form over time. As you progress, you'll be introduced to more advanced techniques, allowing you to gradually refine your skills.
A Samurai Master will teach you the proper techniques for drawing and wielding the sword, demonstrating cutting methods, and guiding you through a traditional Kata. A Kata is a sequence of precise, consecutive sword movements designed to enhance your skill and form. The full experience lasts about thirty minutes, but the honor and knowledge of being a samurai will stay with you for a lifetime.
You and your family can try on full samurai armor and feel like true warriors! The armor comes in different sizes, so everyone – from adults to kids – can join in on the fun. You'll get to choose from a selection of replica swords to complete the look, making it the perfect chance to snap some awesome souvenir photos.
Get ready to throw your very own ninja stars! First, you’ll receive a quick lesson on how to handle and throw shurikens. Once you've got the hang of it, it's time for the fun part: the Ninja Star Throw competition! You’ll be able to test your skills in a friendly challenge with your friends and family. See who can land the most accurate throws and claim the title of ninja master.
* If anyone in your group has special needs, just let us know ahead of time, and we'll be happy to make the necessary arrangements to ensure everyone has a great experience.

The samurai are known as the best warriors in the world in their time, and stories about them still circulate to this day, staying as one of the most popular aspects of Japanese history and culture. These warriors were known for their bravery, military tactical prowess, and the "Bus,hido" or code of honour.
The samurai class rose to power around the 11th century, leading to the feudal age of Japan. They held control over the country and the Imperial court as one of the most influential and intimidating classes until the abolishment of the feudal system in 1868. Since then, the samurai culture has greatly influenced modern Japanese society, with ideals of honour, respect, and loyalty deeply ingrained into everyday life.
The samurai were known to wield various weapons, from bows and arrows to swords. One of the most well-known weapons of the samurai is the Katana. The Katana is an unrivalled quality sword and is considered the most deadly and efficient weapon basalt. Although the weapons evolved throughout, the samurai kept the Katana close, believing it held the bearer's soul. They also carried a short sword or knife known as a tachi. Wearing a katana and a tachi combination was called daisho, which became the hallmark of the Samurai. The two swords represented the samurai's path: The Katana symbolized fighting a righteous battle, and the tachi was a reminder of personal honour.
As the samurai class dissolved into modern society, their previous skills and education were passed through generations. This led to the creating of some of the most successful Japanese companies and industries. Tactical skills were applied to managerial positions, and practical skills directly influenced the high-quality manufactured goods in the country. One of the most notable products is the unrivalled Japanese knife, which applied the same techniques and methods as when the katanas were made.
