Workshop Inclusions:

  • Traditional Kimono: Choose from our selection of beautiful kimonos for the duration of the workshop and tea ceremony. Our staff will assist you in putting on the kimono, ensuring it fits perfectly. For ladies, we also offer hair styling services to complement the design of your kimono.

  • Traditional Tools for Wagashi Making: Use authentic tools and materials essential for creating traditional Japanese sweets (wagashi). These tools are integral to the authentic wagashi-making process.

  • Required Ingredients: We provide all the necessary ingredients for the sweets workshop. This includes basic ingredients such as rice flour and sweet red bean paste, as well as seasonal ingredients when available. Coloring and other additives will also be supplied to help you create your delectable treats.

How long does the workshop last?
The sweets-making and kimono package typically lasts around 90 minutes.

Is there a kimono included?
Yes, a kimono will be provided for you to wear during the workshop. Our staff will assist with putting it on and, for ladies, with hairstyling to match the kimono.

Can I wear a kimono if I'm pregnant?
If wearing a kimono is uncomfortable for you, it is not mandatory. However, if you are in your first or second trimester and feel comfortable, you can still choose to wear one.

Do you have kimonos for kids?
Yes, we have smaller kimonos available for children aged 4 years and older. Please note that children under 7 are not allowed in the tea ceremony venue.

Do you provide additional services like hair and makeup?
We offer hairstyling services for ladies along with kimono assistance. Makeup services are not available.

Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend booking in advance to avoid waiting in line, especially during peak seasons (early April and mid-November). Booking ahead is also cheaper and more convenient.

Are wagashi vegan/vegetarian, or halal?
The wagashi recipes used in our classes are vegan and vegetarian-friendly. They are also halal.

Do you accept groups?
Yes, our sweets-making class is suitable for all kinds of groups, including couples and families with children aged 7 years and older. We also offer services for corporate team-building activities.

Is a tea ceremony included?
No, the tea ceremony is not included in this workshop. If you are interested in a tea ceremony, please make a separate reservation via our website.
