Akakura Kanko Hotel

Akakura Kanko Hotel, located at the base of Mount Myoko, is a traditional ryokan in Niigata Prefecture.

A ten-minute drive from Myoko Kogen Train Station, Akakura Kanko Hotel is also a short drive to the nearest ski resort, Naena Falls, and Imori Pond. It’s the ideal getaway for those who are adventurous enough to scale the slopes of the surrounding mountainside in every season and glide through the snow in the winter.

Its rooms feature wooden furnishings that take inspiration from Japanese and Western influences. The guests are provided with amenities and a tub in the attached bathroom, as well as a television and slippers in the main room to make it feel more like home. One night’s stay may range from 15,000 to 55,000 JPY.
Guests will also be able to reserve a session in the private hot spring baths or take a quick dip in the garden bath. There is also a mini-golf course, a game corner, and karaoke, so visitors can choose whichever they would enjoy.
Travelers may opt to take a car to travel to Akakura, or take a train from Tokyo (Hokuriko Shinkansen), to Nagano and then to Myoko Kogen. The hotel is operating normally with pandemic measures in place to prevent the spread of infection.
