Shirahamakan
Shirahamakan is a traditional Japanese inn located in Shirahama Onsen in Wakayama Prefecture. It has 41 rooms, 14 of which have their own open-air baths.
All the rooms are air-conditioned and fitted with tatami mat flooring and futon bedding. Each one is equipped with a television, a refrigerator, and an electric kettle with green tea bags.
Yukata robes are also provided for the duration of the guests’ stay. Staying for one night can range from 5,000 to 50,000 JPY.
The guests are invited to relax in the indoor and outdoor public hot spring baths that are available 24 hours. A private hot spring bath can also be reserved in advance.
Guests can also experience and partake in onsen eggs that’s made on site. A massage can also be requested, as well as a mahjong set in the rooms. A souvenir shop is also available.
Shirahamakan also has a restaurant, “Bougainvillea” that serves Japanese cruising and kaiseki meals as well, featuring local specialties and ingredients. At night, drinks are available the the lounge, “Hibiscus”.
Shirahamakan can be accessed by taking the JR Kansai Airport Line from Kansai International Airport to Hineno Station, then JR Limited Express to Shirahama Station. The establishment is operating normally with safety measures in place and limited acceptance to prevent the spread of infection.
