Which Tokyo location should I choose?+

Choose Asakusa for historic streets and traditional sightseeing. Choose Shinjuku for a central, contemporary Tokyo itinerary. Both offer an authentic English-guided tea experience.

What age do children need to be?+

Kimono tea ceremony, casual tea ceremony and geisha experience plans are generally available to guests aged 7 and above. Please confirm the requirements on your selected experience page.

Are chairs available?+

A limited number of chairs can be arranged depending on the experience. After booking, please contact MAIKOYA as early as possible if you require one.

What kimono sizes are available?+

Kimono sizes are available up to Japanese size 6L. Larger sizes are limited, so please contact MAIKOYA in advance if you have any concerns.

How early should I arrive?+

Please arrive at least five minutes before your reservation time for a smooth check-in. If you expect to be late, contact the venue as soon as possible.

Can you store suitcases or large luggage?+

Large luggage cannot be stored at the venue. Please use a coin locker at a nearby station before arriving.

May I take photos or videos?+

Photography is not allowed in the dressing room. Photos are allowed during the tea ceremony, although video may be restricted at certain moments. Please follow your host's guidance.

Why is my preferred date or time unavailable?+

Unavailable dates and times are either fully booked or not yet open for reservations. Try another time or check the booking page again later.
