Nagamitsu Ichihara, a master craftsman in the early Showa period, who was listed in the “Designated Swordsmith’s Division” at the 1945 Army Sword Technology Encouragement Exhibition. The issue was called Ichiryuko.

Shigetaro Emura, who was the director of Okayama Prison during the war, invited Nagamitsu Ichihara to take the initiative in the prison, hoping for the rehabilitation of a model prisoner, and used many Japanese swords in the prison. I trained.
For this reason, the work of Nagamitsu Ichihara was commonly referred to as “Prison Nagamitsu”, but the work trained at Okayama Prison was labeled “Emura”, so it was a work of Nagamitsu’s individual name. It can be said that it is a mistake to refer to and call it “Prison Nagamitsu”.
Since there are few works that have been decently polished due to the world during the war, it is easy to be tied up as one of the main training swords, but when you look at it with careful polishing, everyone is surprised at its high skill. A famous sword of the Showa era, it has a high reputation as a sword from that time, and was also active as an army swordsmith.

This sword has a strong, small-grained skin that is well kneaded and textured, and the beauty of the ground iron by folding back training is shown seriously. A masterpiece with a lot of legs. In the rush of the Greater East Asia War, it is a work that even impresses me that it is a work that has been trained so much.
Ichiryuko Nagamitsu has been polished for art ornamental use at our shop so that you can fully enjoy its value as an art sword. Please fully enjoy the beauty of the sharpened blade.

The attached 98-type Army sword fitting late model is also well preserved, and the shark is made of celluloid. Although the pattern thread has some usability, the cherry blossom pattern on the scabbard metal fittings is also in a beautiful state without wear.

Nude weight 792 grams. Weight 1,141 grams that was put in the sword and the sheath was removed.
