Hakone Kyuan

Hakone Kyuan is a luxurious modern ryokan located in Kanagawa Prefecture. Tucked into a mountainous area, the inn is closed in by nature.

It has a total of ten rooms, all fitted with flat-screen television and an air conditioning unit, as well as a refrigerator, and a hot-spring bath. Some rooms will feature a view of the mountainside.

The elegant rooms are each designed in a fusion of traditional and modern Japanese interiors, with low furniture and tatami mat flooring. Each unit can cost from 45,000 to 85,000 JPY.

Hakone Kyuan serves seasonal Japanese cuisine and a kaiseki dinner, delicately prepared from handpicked ingredients featuring local beef and produce. Guests staying in the annex building are served in their rooms while those staying in the main building will be served in the private dining room.

Nearby attractions for the guests to explore during their stay include Hakone Kowakien Yunessun, Hakone Museum of Art, and the Hakone Open-Air Museum.

Hakone Kyuan can be accessed by taking Odakyu Limited Express from Shinjuku Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station, then Hakone Tozan Railway to Kowakudani Station. A pick-up service can be arranged for Hakone Tozan Railway and Hakone Tozan Bus by contacting the hotel. The hotel is operating normally with safety measures in place and limited acceptance to prevent the spread of infection.
