Chountei is a garden located in the south of Kyoto. This garden is known as the garden of the sound tide and is a wonderful zen garden located behind the Kenniji temple. The garden has 3 stones that represent Buddha and two Zen monks, and another stone that is known as a zazen seki, which is a stone used for meditation. The garden has maple trees placed around to allow onlookers to have a beautiful view from each direction.
