Futari-Shizuka Hakuun is a traditional Japanese inn located in Takayama.
Its location is a short distance away from tourist sites like Sanmachi Street, the Morning Market, and the historically renowned Old Town.
The rooms of the inn based their designs on traditional Japanese style, complete with futon beddings and tatami mat flooring. Their rooms cost between 10,000 to 30,000 JPY per night, including private cypress baths in all of the rooms.
The ryokan also features various onsen facilities like rental private baths that can be enjoyed by families. Beautiful Japanese robes can also be worn during the stay provided by a separate fee. Traditional kaiseki meals are also served in the dining room.
Guests are welcome at Futari-Shizuka Hakuun even during the pandemic, provided that they follow precautionary measures implemented by the inn. A free shuttle is provided at the JR Takayama Train Station. The inn can also be reached by bus from the Shirakawa-go terminal.
